Lake Havasu Economy on the Upswing ?
Lake Havasu City economy could be on the "upswing". According to Today's News Herald (Havasu's local paper) things are looking up in Havasu. Interim City Finance Director Sandy Mc Cormack states that we are "holding our own" with February sales leveling off at 3 percent behind last years figures. Retail sales have risen slightley while construction sales have dropped 14 percent.The Spring Break Season and boat regattas such as Desert storm Poker Run have definatly contributed to the rebound trend.
